Classic Margherita Pizza

A simple yet delicious Margherita pizza topped with fresh basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella.

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. Layer the mozzarella cheese and tomato slices on top of the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with olive oil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to add extra toppings like olives or pepperoni for variety!
