Hi! I’m Lina, and I live just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, in a cozy house where the kitchen is definitely the heart of our home. I’m a mother of two wonderfully chaotic teenagers, wife to a guy who still can’t tell the difference between a sauté and a simmer, and a firm believer that you don’t need a fancy culinary degree or a free afternoon to put a satisfying, soul-hugging meal on the table.

Cooking wasn’t always my thing. In my twenties, I was the queen of frozen pizza and cereal for dinner. But everything changed when I had kids and suddenly realized that feeding a family wasn’t just about filling bellies it was about creating tiny pockets of peace in an otherwise hectic day. Over time, I fell in love with the challenge of making dinner both fast and delicious. I started experimenting during nap times, jotting down ideas between laundry loads, and slowly building a personal recipe collection that focused on flavor, ease, and minimal cleanup.
I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve burned my fair share of casseroles and tried some “shortcut” recipes that turned out to be, well, educational disasters. But that’s part of the fun! I’ve learned that a bit of flexibility and a sense of humor go a long way in the kitchen especially when you’re juggling soccer practice, Zoom meetings, and a grocery list that always seems to forget the one ingredient you really need.

These days, my joy comes from sharing recipes that real families can actually pull off on a weeknight. I’m all about 30-minute meals, smart hacks (yes, we’re using that rotisserie chicken again!), and turning leftovers into something no one complains about. Whether it’s a sheet pan dinner, a slow cooker lifesaver, or a five-ingredient wonder, my goal is to help families like mine eat well without losing their minds.
So, welcome to my kitchen messy, warm, and always smelling like something good’s about to happen. Let’s make dinner something to look forward to again.
