Air Fryer Egg Toast

A quick and simple air fryer recipe for perfectly crispy egg toast with a soft yolk center.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 large eggs (Grade A)
  • Salted butter (spreadable, at room temperature)
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Using a sturdy glass, carefully press down in the center of each bread slice to make a well for the egg.
  2. Butter both sides of the bread with salted spreadable butter.
  3. Place a rack in the air fryer basket and spray it lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Crack an egg into a small dish, then carefully pour it into the indentation in one of the bread slices. Repeat with the second egg.
  5. Sprinkle the eggs with kosher salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 6 minutes for an over-easy runny yolk. Add another minute or two for firmer yolks.
  7. Carefully remove the egg toast from the air fryer with a spatula and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a side of fresh fruit or mixed greens. You can add sliced avocado or tomatoes for extra flavor.
