Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Crispy and juicy air fryer chicken wings with a simple seasoning, perfect for game night or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (canola, vegetable, or olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder (optional, for extra crisp)
  • Optional glaze: 1/2 cup BBQ sauce or 1/4 cup hot sauce mixed with 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Pat wings dry with paper towels. Remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, toss wings with oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add baking powder if using.
  3. Preheat the air fryer if your model needs preheat (about 3 minutes at 400°F / 200°C).
  4. Place wings in a single layer in the basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through for even browning.
  6. If using a glaze, brush sauce on wings in the last 2 to 3 minutes and return to cooker to set.
  7. Remove wings and let rest 4 to 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or BBQ. Pairs well with sides like celery and carrot sticks.
