A rich and creamy classic cheesecake recipe that’s simple to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 2 cups of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for about 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract while mixing.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Finally, mix in the sour cream until everything is combined smoothly.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still jiggles slightly.
  9. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for about 1 hour.
  10. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
