Bang Bang Chicken

A simple, crunchy chicken with a sweet and spicy sauce made with mayo, sweet chili, and sriracha.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each chicken tenderloin first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the coated chicken tenderloins in the hot oil until they are crispy and golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm, drizzled with the bang bang sauce.

Notes

Keep sauce separate until serving to maintain chicken’s crunchiness.
