Brown Butter Coffee Toffee Cookies

Delicious cookies with rich brown butter, toffee, and chocolate chips that create a chewy texture and delightful flavor.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with melted chocolate. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
