Butter Cookies Made with Cake Mix

Delicious and easy butter cookies made with cake mix, perfect for quick treats.

  • 1 box of cake mix (yellow or vanilla)
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings (powdered sugar, sprinkles)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter with the cake mix until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the dough is smooth.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly with your fingers or a fork.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or add sprinkles on top before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
