Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies infused with the flavors of maple and cinnamon, perfect for any sweet tooth.

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, melt white chocolate and drizzle it over the cookies for decoration.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or dried fruits. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
