Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich

A simple and delicious Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer shredded chicken, mashed avocado, and cheese on the unbuttered side.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, let the butter melt and sizzle before adding the sandwich to the skillet. You can add tomatoes or bacon for extra flavor.
