Chili Lime Flank Steak

A quick and flavorful recipe for Chili Lime Flank Steak that combines the bright taste of lime with warm chili for a tender and juicy meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  3. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  7. Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice against the grain.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired, and serve.

Notes

Pat the steak dry before grilling for a better sear. Slice thin and against the grain for tenderness.
