Chocolate Orange Cheesecake

A creamy and decadent cheesecake combining rich chocolate and refreshing orange flavors. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • Chocolate shavings or orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, sour cream, orange zest, and orange juice until fully combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
  9. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  10. Garnish with chocolate shavings or orange slices before serving.

Notes

Let the cheesecake cool slowly in the oven to prevent sudden temperature changes, which can cause cracks.
