Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies

Delightful soft and chewy cookies that blend creamy cream cheese with warm cinnamon flavors.

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar for rolling
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the additional sugar and ground cinnamon for rolling.
  7. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Ensure that the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for easy blending. You can add chocolate chips or nuts for a fun twist.
