Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

A fun twist on traditional French toast, these roll-ups combine the sweetness of cinnamon rolls with the classic breakfast treat, making them perfect for busy mornings or special brunches.

  • 10 slices white sandwich bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Remove the crusts from the bread slices and use a rolling pin to flatten each slice until thin.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Spread the cinnamon mixture over each slice of flattened bread, then roll them up tightly from one end to the other.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Heat some butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Dip each roll briefly into the egg mixture and place them seam-side down in the skillet.
  7. Cook until golden brown on all sides, turning carefully with a spatula.

Notes

Serve warm with powdered sugar or maple syrup. You can also pair them with fresh fruit or whipped cream.
