Coffee Truffles

Deliciously rich coffee truffles that combine chocolate and coffee for a perfect treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons coffee or espresso
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for rolling

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the coffee and vanilla extract.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Once firm, scoop out small amounts and roll into balls.
  6. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
  7. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

For a smoother texture, stir the chocolate chips well until completely melted. You can use flavored coffee for extra twist. Chill the mixture long enough to make rolling easier.
