Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta

A comforting and quick creamy tomato garlic pasta that brings warmth and indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juice) and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic for a spicy kick. Substitute half-and-half for a lighter option.
