Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta

A quick and comforting creamy tomato garlic pasta made with simple ingredients.

  • 8 oz pasta of choice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Add a side of crusty bread and a light green salad to balance the cream. Top with cooked chicken or shrimp for added protein.
