Irresistibly Crispy Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Wontons

Delightful crispy treats filled with creamy strawberry cheesecake filling, perfect for parties or a quick dessert.

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry jam (or diced fresh strawberries)
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sifted powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in the strawberry jam or diced fresh strawberries to create a delightful filling.
  3. Take a wonton wrapper and scoop about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling into the center.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it over to form a triangle. Press to seal tightly.
  5. In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully add wontons in batches of 4-5, frying for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fried wontons with a slotted spoon and let them rest on paper towels.

Notes

Serve warm and dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with extra jam. Avoid microwaving; it makes them soft.
