Easy Honey Cake

A delightful treat that combines sweetness and moistness with a unique honey flavor, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour 2 round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, sugar, and eggs, and mix until well blended.
  3. Add baking soda and gradually stir in flour until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow cakes to cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, whip heavy cream with sour cream and vanilla until it holds soft peaks.
  7. Trim the tops of the cooled cakes to make them even, then slice each cake in half horizontally to create four layers.
  8. Layer the cakes with frosting in between and cover the top and sides with the remaining frosting.
  9. Chill before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

Serve this cake at room temperature or chilled. Add fresh fruit on top for an extra touch.
