Galaxy Mirror Glaze Cake

A visually stunning cake featuring rich chocolate flavor and a glossy mirror glaze.

  • 200 g Zartbitterschokolade
  • 150 g Unsalted butter
  • 100 g Sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 sheets of gelatin
  • Food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 23 cm round cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a water bath, mixing well until smooth.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until fully combined. Pour this mixture into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Check the cake with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  5. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water. In a small saucepan, dissolve them with 2-3 tablespoons of water over low heat.
  6. Mix the melted chocolate with the dissolved gelatin and add the food coloring. Stir until well combined.
  7. Place the cooled cake on a wire rack and pour the glaze evenly over the top. Let it set until firm.
  8. Cut the cake into slices and serve.

Notes

Ensure the cake is completely cool before pouring the glaze to prevent it from melting. Practice your glazing technique by pouring gently and evenly from the center towards the edges.
