Ground Beef and Broccoli

A quick and easy weeknight meal featuring savory ground beef and vibrant broccoli, all coated in a flavorful sauce.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Stir in the broccoli and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth; pour mixture into the skillet.
  6. Stir until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with sliced green onions or toasted sesame seeds. Serve with pickled cucumbers or a simple salad for freshness.
