Ground Turkey and Peppers

A simple, customizable dish featuring ground turkey and vibrant bell peppers, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Rice, lettuce wraps, or taco shells for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Add the onion and garlic; sauté for about 2 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until the peppers are tender.
  5. Serve the turkey mixture over rice, in lettuce wraps, or as a taco filling.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding chopped jalapeños or using fresh ingredients. This dish can easily be made ahead of time and reheated.
