Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into strips (about 1 inch wide).
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each strip.
  4. Fold the pastry over to enclose the filling and press the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm.
