Homemade Chocolate Turtles

Delightful homemade chocolate turtles that combine buttery caramel, crunchy pecans, and rich chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, toasted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the pecans in a dry skillet until fragrant. Set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Microwave in intervals, stirring until the mixture turns a light caramel color.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Drop small clusters of the caramel mixture onto parchment paper and immediately top with toasted pecans. Let cool slightly.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave.
  6. Dip the cooled caramel clusters into the chocolate and place back on parchment paper to set. Enjoy your chocolate turtles!

Notes
