Delicious homemade Twinkies filled with light whipped cream, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Twinkie pan or a cupcake pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  8. For the filling, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  9. Once cooled, inject or pipe the cream filling into the center of each Twinkie.
  10. Serve and enjoy your homemade Twinkies!
