Honey BBQ Chicken Strips

Quick and crispy Honey BBQ Chicken Strips that are perfect for busy weeknights and family meals.

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Dip each tender into flour, then beaten eggs, and finally breadcrumbs for an even coat.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry chicken tenders until golden and crispy (approx. 3–4 mins per side). Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 mins.
  4. In a saucepan, mix honey and BBQ sauce. Heat until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss the crispy tenders in the honey BBQ sauce until fully coated.
  6. Plate your chicken strips and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Serve with simple sides like fries, coleslaw, or a green salad. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
