Hot Chocolate Cookies

Delicious cookies that combine the rich flavors of hot chocolate and homemade treats, featuring cocoa powder and mini marshmallows.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, hot cocoa mix, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra chocolatey cookies, add a mix of milk and dark chocolate chips. Ensure butter is softened, not melted, for the best texture.
