A delightful blend of rich chocolate flavors and a moist texture, this Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is perfect for dessert or as a sweet breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack. While still warm, drizzle with additional warmed hot fudge sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts if desired.

Notes

Enjoy warm or at room temperature. For an indulgent dessert, serve with a scoop of ice cream and more hot fudge sauce.
