Hot Fudge Sundae Brownie Cheesecake

A delicious combination of fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake topped with warm fudge sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • Cherries and nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together. Then, combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. While baking, in a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix well.
  7. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it gently into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Once the brownie crust is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool. After cooling, pour the cheesecake layer over the brownie crust and smooth it out.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer.
  10. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until set. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Before serving, drizzle with hot fudge sauce and top with cherries and nuts if desired.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best chocolate flavor.
