Hot Honey Chicken Bowl

A delightful mix of sweet and spicy, this Hot Honey Chicken Bowl features succulent chicken, sautéed veggies, and a sticky hot honey sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix honey and hot sauce together in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest. In the same skillet, add bell pepper and broccoli. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Slice the chicken and drizzle with the honey-hot sauce mixture.
  5. Serve by placing cooked rice in a bowl, topping with honey chicken, sautéed vegetables, and drizzling remaining honey sauce. Garnish with green onions.

Notes

Customize the bowl with any veggies, and adjust the hot sauce based on your spice preference. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
