Hot Sausage Feta Honey Pizza

An easy gourmet pizza topped with savory hot sausage, creamy feta, and a drizzle of sweet hot honey.

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ lb hot Italian sausage (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup hot honey (or regular honey + chili flakes)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or basil) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dough: Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  2. Cook Sausage: In a skillet, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Assemble Pizza: Place the dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil. Layer it with mozzarella, cooked sausage, and feta cheese.
  4. Bake: Bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  5. Finish: Remove from the oven. Drizzle hot honey generously over the pizza. Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if you like it extra spicy.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs. Let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Use parchment paper under the pizza to prevent sticking. Experiment with different cheeses. Stretch the dough evenly for consistent baking.
