Juicy Blueberry Grilled Cheese

A unique twist on classic grilled cheese featuring sweet blueberries and savory melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
  4. Add a layer of shredded cheese on top of the bread.
  5. Evenly distribute the blueberries over the cheese.
  6. Optionally drizzle honey over the blueberries.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
  9. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh blueberries and experiment with different cheeses. Serve warm with a salad or soup.
