Lemon Pizza

A refreshing twist on traditional pizza featuring tangy lemon slices, creamy cheeses, and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 batch pizza dough
  • 2 lemons (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • Fresh herbs (such as basil and thyme)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to pizza dough instructions.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
  5. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Arrange the thin lemon slices over the cheese.
  8. Add fresh herbs, and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Bake in the oven according to dough instructions, usually around 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

Use fresh lemons for the best flavor. Experiment with other toppings such as grilled chicken or arugula for a heartier meal.
