Perfect Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious chocolate chip cookies that are soft in the center and crispy around the edges.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Set it aside.
  3. In another large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with milk or coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
