  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the caramel bits and milk chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Drizzle additional melted chocolate over the cooled cookies, if desired.
