Ultimate Twix-Style Cookies

Delicious cookies with a crunch, soft chewy inside, and a gooey caramel center topped with rich chocolate.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart. Make an indent in each cookie for the caramel.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool slightly before filling the indents with caramel sauce.
  8. Melt the chocolate chips until smooth and drizzle over the cookies. Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider adding chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the chocolate drizzle.
