Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delightful cookies combining traditional flavors with festive white chocolate and peppermint for a chewy center and slightly crisp edge.

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to a cooling rack.

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze for three months.
