Buñuelos

Crispy and fluffy Buñuelos, a traditional treat perfect for gatherings.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Oil for frying
  • Cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk together the milk, egg, and sugar in another bowl.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Take small portions of dough and flatten them slightly before frying.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar before serving.
