A simple and tasty meal with grilled chicken, fresh vegetables, and a cool yogurt sauce, perfect for wraps or plates.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pita bread or wraps
  • Lettuce, chopped
  • Tomato, diced
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for tzatziki)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
  2. Grill or cook the chicken in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and juices run clear. Let it rest before slicing.
  3. For the tzatziki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Assemble gyros by placing sliced chicken in pita bread or wraps, adding lettuce, tomato, red onion, and cucumber. Drizzle with feta tzatziki before serving.

Notes

Store cooked chicken and tzatziki in separate airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Assemble fresh gyros to avoid sogginess.
