Chicken Tomato Pasta

A quick and comforting one-pan Chicken Tomato Pasta recipe that combines tender chicken with a rich tomato sauce and perfectly cooked pasta.

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and chicken, tossing to coat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and a side salad for a complete meal.
