French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups

Quick, easy, and comforting tortilla roll ups filled with roast beef and melted cheese, served with a rich dipping broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the filling: Lay out tortillas and sprinkle about 3–4 tablespoons of cheese on each tortilla. Add thin slices of roast beef and season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Roll tight: Roll each tortilla tightly around the beef and cheese, tucking the ends in to keep filling from falling out.
  3. Heat the skillet: Put the skillet on medium heat and add melted butter.
  4. Brown the roll ups: Place roll ups seam-side down in the skillet, cooking for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden and the cheese melts inside.
  5. Make the dip: While roll ups brown, warm the beef broth in a small pot. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, extra garlic and onion powder, and parsley, seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve hot: Remove roll ups from the skillet and serve immediately with a bowl of warm beef broth for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add chopped jalapeños to the filling or use different cheeses for varied flavors.
