Ginger Soy Fish

A flavorful and healthy dish featuring fish fillets marinated in ginger and soy sauce, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fish fillets (such as salmon or tilapia)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetables (such as broccoli or bell peppers)
  • Cooked rice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. If baking, place the marinated fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through. If pan-searing, add the fish to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve the fish with steamed vegetables and rice if desired.

Notes

Marinate the fish for a longer time if desired, but do not exceed 1-2 hours to avoid excessive saltiness.
