Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks

A quick and satisfying recipe for classic Philly cheesesteaks featuring ground beef and gooey provolone cheese.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: bell peppers, sautéed

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions (and bell peppers if using) and sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart, and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the beef is fully cooked, remove from heat and stir in the provolone cheese until melted.
  4. Toast the hoagie rolls in the oven or on a skillet.
  5. Fill each roll with the ground beef and cheese mixture. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve hot with crispy fries or a light salad. Provide hot sauce or pickles for added flavor.
