One Pot Beefaroni

A hearty and comforting dish featuring ground beef, pasta, and savory flavors, all made in one pot for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean or regular)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, such as mozzarella, cheddar, or Italian blend)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook it while breaking up the beef with a spoon until it’s fully browned and the onions are translucent.
  2. Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth or water, then sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Stir it all together, and add the elbow macaroni, making sure the pasta is mostly submerged.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Once the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened, stir in the shredded cheese if you like. Allow it to melt smoothly.

Notes

Top with fresh herbs or extra cheese if desired. This dish is versatile; feel free to add veggies like spinach or bell peppers.
