Ingredients
Scale
4 fillets Tilapia
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
4 tablespoons Salted Butter
2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
Instructions
Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the tilapia fillets.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Carefully place the tilapia fillets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the salted butter. Once melted, stir in the lemon juice and let it cook for a minute, scraping any bits from the bottom.
Remove the tilapia from the skillet and transfer it to a serving plate. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the fish. Serve with steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice.
Notes
For extra kick, add red pepper flakes to the lemon butter sauce. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor.
