Shrimp Dirty Rice

A quick and tasty Southern dish mixing cooked rice, shrimp, bell peppers, and Cajun spice.

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced bell peppers and sauté until they are softened.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice and Cajun seasoning, mixing well.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Southern dish.

Notes

Use day-old rice for the best texture. Pat shrimp dry before cooking for better browning.
