Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole

A comforting casserole that combines tender egg noodles, flavorful ground beef, and rich sour cream, topped with cheese for extra flavor.

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef mixture, and if desired, add beef broth for extra moisture.
  6. Spread the mixture in a greased casserole dish. Top with additional cheese if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Allow the casserole to cool completely before storing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
